Over at Raw Food Boot Camp many of the ladies take their dieting struggles personal. They feel that to struggle while dieting is shameful. They think they should be beyond the struggle and don’t want others to think less of them. This is so self-sabotaging.
Struggling is expected. To not struggle is to not learn how to deal with real life, real urges and real emotions without giving into food. I see the struggle as a prime learning experience and admire all who use it that way. Instead of hating yourself for giving into a struggle, it is beneficial to examine and it figure out why you caved rather than decide you are powerless. Once we know why we don’t stand up to specific types of struggles, we can learn to counter those struggles and come out victorious.
